Plenty

This landscaping job in Plenty had a few requirements for the project, there needed to be an outdoor area for kids, be safe for future child care operations, and for retaining slopes on the land upon house completion.

 The house cut goes beyond the building envelope of the house but it doesn't really lend itself for much use outside. It was decided to excavate the entire side of the yard to get rid of the slope and allow for one large flat area to be used

 After excavation, a block retaining wall was installed along the change in level of the land, with a staircase linking the upper area with below. A concrete base was laid to all paving areas, with a security fence installed to keep kids away from the retaining wall and steps.

 Clay brick pavers were laid in mortar for a long lasting movement-free pavement. Cream bricks have been used as a border to highlight the red blend in the middle

 Synthetic lawn was laid on the grass area as a play area for the children. When used for childcare the lawn will be low maintenance as well as safe.
