| The owners of this house required some
urgent landscaping works to improve their backyard to the house
they had recently moved into. The previous owner had laid their own
brick paving but due to plumbing works and lack of experience the
paving was uneven, loose, and dangerous to walk on some
areas. |
|
|
The old bricks, even though old,
chipped and of different sizes, were still wanted by the client to
be utilised to be re-paved. The entire 60m² was ripped up, the soil
underneath excavated and a solid roadbase installed for a firm,
long-lasting new paving area. |
| |
| The bricks that were ripped up were then re
laid down, mixing up the different brick brands to get an even
mixture of colours throughout the new paving. A feature area was
displayed centrally in the main entertaining area to break up the
paving. This was constructed with random bluestone on one side of
the shape and Indian sandstone on the other in a crazy paving
pattern. |

|
Finally, the feature paving was
grouted, joints cleaned and filled throughout the who;e paving area
and the garden areas topped up with topsoil and mulch ready for
planting and a strip of instant turf.
|
Finally, instant lawn was laid
around the paving edge to break up and enhance the variations
between paving and garden bed |
