Having just undergone renovations, this
Coburg house now was ready for paving to complete the hardscape
works of the property.
The existing old
concrete driveway was lifted out and removed, ready for a new brick
driveway.
A reinforced concrete
base for the driveway was laid, to provide a solid base for
vehicular traffic. Being an older style weatherboard house, 2nd
hand red bricks were used in the paving to match. The variety of
colours and variations in the bricks provide plenty of character
for the paving areas.
After the brick
paving was completed, the whole area was grouted in white to tie
the whole area together and provide a stable surface.
Wide brick steps were
installed next to side doors to provide easy access to and from the
side of the house
A pathway linked the
drive with the side of the house
A path was installed
from the front door to the front of the property for street access,
and a future picket fence.
Step stones linking the path
with the driveway were also installed, and made using the bricks in
a square pattern
