Landscaping was in need of updating at this
Eltham property to fix the aging and rotting redgum retaining wall.
Being a house suited very well to outdoor entertaining a new
retaining wall was constructed to compliment the outdoor rooms
constructed, also to provide a suitable retainer for the change in
level between the playground and lower decking area.
Before shots of the works. The old
sleepers were removed, old grass and weeds scraped and foundations
laid for paving and walls.
The new wall was constructed in a split
level design- a lower area to run along the deck level, and an
upper level to retaining the upper playground area. Both levels
merged in line near the end to provide a wall that ties in together
and provide a visualling pleasing wall while keeping maximum space
for the playground area.
