Kinglake
This house in Kinglake is surrounded by tall
Eucalypts, dropping leaves all over the driveway and house. The
owners wanted a more maintenance free driveway surface that was
easier to clean than the current loose pebbles and
gravel.
A few various design ideas were discussed,
and worked within a budget. A project was agreed upon and work
started. It was decided to use a Titian Slate border and centre
strip, with asphalt infill. There was a coldstream rock wall built
along the driveway and the slate will suit the style
well
The driveway before work
commencement
The driveway was excavated and a firm
foundation laid as a base for the paving
Titian Slate was used for the paving areas,
laid in random sizes .
The paving once completed was filled with a
white grout to match the other rockwork on the property
After the paving was finished the infill was
done with asphalt in a smooth finish to tie all sections
together
The right hand side of the drive had
Creswick Toppings installed to match in with the paving and provide
a firm surface
