We are at a time where we
haven’t had much rain, therefore we have water restrictions in
place in order to save water. We previously have been on Stage
2 Restrictions from November 1 2006, but Stage 3A has come into
effect on April 1st, 2007.
Below outlined is the
restrictions and what you can and can't do with your mains
water:
Stage 3 Water
Restrictions
Lawns cannot be watered by home owners, businesses
or local councils, with the exception of some selected sporting
grounds
Hand held hoses or high pressure cleaning devices
cannot be used for washing vehicles at any time. A bucket filled
from a tap can be used to clean windows, mirrors and lights; and
spot-remove corrosive substances. A commercial car wash can however
be used at any time
Manual dripper systems can be operated between 6am
to 8am on your watering days. Even numbered houses can water
Saturdays and Tuesdays, while odd numbered houses may be watered on
Sundays and Wednesday
Automatic dripper systems may be used between
midnight and 4am on your watering days (see above)
Hand-held hoses fitted with a trigger nozzle can
be used to water gardens between 6am to 8am on your watering days
(see above)
No
watering at all on Monday, Thursday and Friday on any sections of
the garden
New pools
or spa's of any capacity can not be filled. Permits may be needed
to fill existing ones
