We are at a time where we haven’t had much rain, therefore we have water restrictions in place in order to save water. We previously have been on Stage 2 Restrictions from November 1 2006, but Stage 3A has come into effect on April 1st, 2007.

Below outlined is the restrictions and what you can and can't do with your mains water:

Stage 3 Water Restrictions

  • Lawns cannot be watered by home owners, businesses or local councils, with the exception of some selected sporting grounds
  • Hand held hoses or high pressure cleaning devices cannot be used for washing vehicles at any time. A bucket filled from a tap can be used to clean windows, mirrors and lights; and spot-remove corrosive substances. A commercial car wash can however be used at any time
  • Manual dripper systems can be operated between 6am to 8am on your watering days. Even numbered houses can water Saturdays and Tuesdays, while odd numbered houses may be watered on Sundays and Wednesday
  • Automatic dripper systems may be used between midnight and 4am on your watering days (see above)
  • Hand-held hoses fitted with a trigger nozzle can be used to water gardens between 6am to 8am on your watering days (see above)
  • No watering at all on Monday, Thursday and Friday on any sections of the garden
  • New pools or spa's of any capacity can not be filled. Permits may be needed to fill existing ones
  • Contact us about installation of irrigation systems, we can install for you
  • We can also arrange installation & supply of water tanks to supply water for garden usage or car washing etc
